Another #FrederikBackman book read, another startling demonstration of just how immensely humane, witty, and compassionate this man is. And so good a writer in the original and so well served by his translators into English. His novels always leave me feeling hopeful, however tough and honest the story, and that's especially true of the #Beartown trilogy.

@callanjd I’m going to read that shortly and may do a news story on it - you mention Congleton! You may write about this, but the town nickname is Beartown (footy club nickname The Bears) because the bear died before a bank holiday and the town used the money set aside for a new bible (money it replaced) to buy a new bear.
