I had no idea that #iOS kept track of #headphone volume. I found this when poking into the #Health app while awaiting delivery of my #AppleWatch.

The huge drop in volume is directly attributable to the #BeatFitsPro I started using last week. Not only is the sound very good but the #activenoiseCanceling is excellent - a huge step up from the Panasonic #earbuds they replaced.

Better quality #ANC and better balanced sound = better hearing safety.

I can’t comment on battery life yet (they claim 6h w/ #ANC enabled), but the case is small and - yay - charges via #usbC.

Of the music I’ve listened to so far, #dubtechno, #triphop, #synthwave & #hiphop sound great, depending on how good the original mix is.

#Punk & #rock depend so much on the mix and always sounds smaller to me *after* listening to something electronic. But #remastered #90s #rock sounds significantly better.

These #earbuds are pretty damn good.

And of the #Apple-specific features, the automatic switching between iDevices & Mac is sweet. It’s #multipoint #bluetooth but if I’m listening on my iPad and start playing a song on my iphone, it switches automatically.

It does seem to switch less quickly with my Mac but I may not have the hang of it yet.

Another plus is that the touch control is a real button - so no more scratching the ear and playing/stopping music.

I almost always replace the tips in every pair of #earbuds I’ve owned but I might not with these. The silicone is not cheap, crappy, or too firm but feels surprisingly comfortable.

The buds themselves are light (the Panasonics they’re replacing are huge & heavy in comparison, there’s no going back to that) and the wingy-things keep them in really well. I can shake my head and they don’t seem to move. These are gonna be great for working out.

It’s got a really nice & clear high end, with no tinniness at all.

The mids, in everything I’ve listened to so far, sit really well in the mix without being overpowering.

The bass is *lovely*. Tight & subby without a hint of muddiness.

The #ANC is excellent, as is transparency mode (much better than the buds they’re replacing).

Like almost all #earbuds, the soundstage is not huge, but it’s better than some of the better over-ear #headphones.
