The Beatnik Preachers are Anthony “ToK” Norris: Trumpet and Spoken Word, Rob Burke: Sax, Nick Haywood: Double Bass, James “Miles” Legg: Drums and Joel Louis: Piano

ToK is a 45-year contributor to Australia’s original music scene, active in the reggae and jazz genres.

He is also a mix and mastering engineer with a list of releases by other artists that also have received awards.

Now he leads a new quintet that culminates all of his career experience.

He chose the trumpet, spoken word and jazz as the means by which to shape it.

Here we have a quintet of superlative musicians creating an uplifting and driving groove that lifts the heart whilst engaging the mind with poetry that challenges and questions the human condition.
