1) Make reusable products, including those from other materials, accessible/adaptable and affordable 2) Provide accessible recycling and composting programs, including #accessible bins 3) Remove barriers to participation in environmental activities. Make trails, campgrounds, and parks accessible. 4) Create accessible ed materials

(3/7) This year’s theme will focus on solutions to plastic pollution under the campaign #BeatPlasticPollution. It highlights a key global problem that affects not only humans but also marine and land wildlife. Ever since 1950, plastic’s been an intrinsic part of our everyday life. During this time, the world has produced more than 9 billion tonnes of the material. Being one of the gravest threats to the planet, it clogs our landfills, leaches into the ocean and is combusted into toxic smoke.

The world is being inundated by plastic. More than 400 million tonnes of plastic is produced every year, half of which is used only once.
