This article actually reminds me of the #beaver conflict that brought me into the world of #beaverbelievers. My #beavers likely migrated to our suburban retention pond from the West Fork North Branch of the #Chicago River.

When I spoke to Margaret Frisbie, Executive Director of Friends of the Chicago River, she pointed out that beavers in the river were a sign of its recovery and health.

In #Beaverland, Phillip mentions several national organizations who have joined the #beaverbelievers movement, including Worth a Dam in California, the Beaver Coalition in Oregon, and the Beaver Institute, headed up by Mike Callahan.

Worth a Dam was founded by Heidi Perryman, who is on the advisory board of my nonprofit, the Illinois Beaver Alliance. She is a passionate #beaver advocate, blogging every day about #beavers in the media.
