All these ideas would also do if I ever manage to set up #BeaverScout version of Hash House Harriers: a paper-chase game where you need something inoffensive and biodegradable (or wildlife edible) so as not worry overmuch about any “breadcrumbs” not cleared up.
Trying to think of a way I can dye popcorn.
It’s for a #BeaverScout game where they’ll have to wear heavy gloves to pick up the “radioactive fuel particles”. It would be fun to make the popcorn a weird colour.
Our food colouring was no good - water soluble, didn’t dissolve in the cooking oil.
Turmeric did make it a bit yellow (and tasted nice in fact) but not dramatic enough.
Could buy some oil-based food colour, but that’s about £5 & I’m not sure I care that much!
I’d like to see pictures of peoples’ #Scout or #GirlGuiding #CampBlanket ( aka #BadgeBlanket) please.
I’d especially like pictures that I can copy, print out and show to my #BeaverScout colony — please say if I may go that with your picture.
This is for a Beaver meeting where I want to explain what these blankets are.
I’d be pleased to have blankets that have just been started / not many badges, as well as ones with lots of badges.
Very happy to have examples from many nations!

In any #BeaverScout activity away from the usual #Scouts meeting place, Leaders need enough adults to keep the Beavers safe. This includes making sure they don’t get into trouble or need anxious looking-for because they wandered off.
I’ve decided this adult screen to keep everyone together is now called the *WanderWall*.⚜️
‘Cause maybe… (etc.)🙂
