Becorns: Whimsical creations sculpted from Nature
Rhode Island artist and toy designer David Bird was inspired to create fanciful, tiny sculptures out of acorns, sticks, ferns and feathers — art he has dubbed "Becorns" — which are attracting curious birds and wildlife (and plenty of humans, too). Correspondent Faith Salie reports.

My family stumbled upon videos from David M Bird about his wonderful Becorns photos and were transfixed. His work constructing scenes with his Becorn figures produces sine stunning results. The videos are great, his Instagram account has many photos of the Becorns, and on his website he sells prints as well.

One of my favorite artist these days is David M. Bird. He builds little acorn people, called Becorns, puts them into his garden, waits until some animals interact with them and photographs these situations. I really adore the characters he creates.
