For about a year my kid (11) and I have been reading The Lord of the Ring at bedtime. I last read it decades ago, so in some ways it's like reading them for the first time myself.

We just started Book 6, which is, I think, the last half of The Return of the King.

He has not seen the films. Not till the books are completely finished.

What's next for us after this? I feel like we're about to end a circumnavigation of the globe and we're looking for a Next Big Thing. Maybe a little thing would be fine though.

Our previous bedtime reading was The #wingfeatherSaga. Another epic fantasy series.

I have the five-book #HGTTG trilogy on the shelf (but those get worse as you go).
