I finally got around to watching the Youtube pilot and original series of #BeeAndPuppycat and now I just want to watch the Netflix series all over again immediately. Lovely show.

Summer can be a hard time for some people: #neurodivergent people who have a hard time socializing outside of a structured setting with explicit purpose, minors who can't see their friends and live in a #brokenhome , people with body issues who can't or don't feel comfortable wearing swimsuits or revealing clothing, and poor people who get left out of stuff because everything fun is monetized... I see y'all and am thinking of you. Spooky seasons coming soon though! So there's something to look forward to.

Watched the original season of Bee and Puppycat after learning that the show on #netflix is basically the first season compressed into 3 episodes plus the second season.

That show made me want to make art... What shows give other people the itch to be creative?

The other thing that really puts me in the mood to create is the book "The Night Circus" by Erin Morgenstern

I absolutely love the series #beeandpuppycat so I had to make another #plushie (also because I bought way too much of this white fabric). He will be making a trip across the state to his new home this week--The recipient doesn't even know I made this, so I really hope it's a lovely surprise delivery!

I think I have one more #plush I'm going to make from this series.

After my surreal nostalgia weekend, this news is hitting kinda hard. Even though #GalaxyExpress l999 wasn't my jam, #StevenUniverse's Blue Diamond and Lars; #BeeAndPuppycat's Outlaw is as much Harlock as Utena; #DaftPunk's Discovery and Interstalla obvs, #LastExile had a COMPLELY different steampubk vibe than Matsumoto's space opera, but Silvana and crew have his fingerprints.

I finished #BeeAndPuppycat #LazyInSpace on #Netflix :netflix: . And this was so fun. Super chill, but at times great action. And weird. Really different from alot of what you have seen. Mostly comparable to #StevenUniverse here & there. A real 90s #anime inspiration, but descidedly American.

I would still put this in #AdultAnimation, even tho nothing raunchy happens. But it doesnt concern itself with simulating adults, or being safe for kids.

I really ador it. I could watch again.

Finally! #PuppyCat (Ver 1) is finished. 😅
Tricky project for me as this was my first time working with this type of fabric. I tried to make a muslin draft, but the stretch of the final fabrics made it somewhat useless.

I also got myself a walking foot for my sewing machine--I don't know why I put it off for this long! Going back to the drawing board to adjust the pattern a bit, but I'm pleased with how he turned out!

Had a tough day today, so I drew my dog eating Puppycat's phone. Then I got bored and didn't color the background in. I might still color it, and if I do, I'll post a finished version--but I know myself well enough to know it's probably as finished as it's going to get. lol
