Just purchased this #Beelink SEi12 Pro to move Plex Media Server, Home Assistant (very early stages), and possibly the Servarr apps from my #Synology NAS. The Arrs are currently running in Docker containers.
Suggestions? Recommendations? Do I go with #Proxmox on the NUC, even though it's foreign to me, or stick with Linux? Thanks! #PMS #HomeAssistant

#Asus picking up the #Intel #NUC product line. I'm fairly happy about this. When Asus stick to basics they make excellent hardware. Hopefully they don't fill future NUCs with proprietary rubbish like their touchpad laptops.

And if so, there are many other good mini-PC manufacturers like #Minisforum or #Beelink or #Gigabyte

What are people's thoughts on #Beelink? I'm after a quiet #MiniPC to replace my RPI 4 (which is awesome but doesn't have enough desktop oomph), for general use, dev, and light gaming (e.g., Minecraft).

Not knowing much about modern mini PCs, I figured I'd just get an #Intel #NUC, but there are some good deals today on Beelinks equipped with e.g. AMD Ryzen 7 5800H. I would prefer to go #linux native and have a Windows VM for the odd application which I'm forced to use. Are AMD drivers an issue?

I did a little #casemod to my #beeLink #ryzen #miniPC to add external #antennas so I can pick up my neighbor's #xfinitywifi #hotspot better and I think I did a pretty good job! The clearance for the m.2 slot is pretty tight, but other than that I think it turned out pretty good.

Now to see if I improved the #wifi reception or made it worse 🤞
