One of my daughters got her wisdom teeth out last Friday, so we chose to do a lazy spring break staycation.

I finished playing #DragonQuest11 for the third time since it came out in 2018, and I started playing #Persona5Royal. DQ11 is an all-time fav. P5 Royal has moments of greatness, but it feels inconsistent.

I finally caught up on #TheLastOfUs and then I watched #Ragnarok. I just started another Norwegian show, #beforeigners which is very interesting so far.

We also had a puppy party for my dog's 10th birthday, but I forgot to take pictures.

An example of a great deep set-up that caught my eye recently:

In the pilot of Beforeigners, the Norwegian time travel show (in the US on HBO), I thought I glimpsed Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson in a quick shot of huddled time refugees. But then he wasn't in the pilot again & I thought I was mistaken.

He shows up EPs later, & there's a callback to that scene! It was SO SATISFYING to hit he pay-off for that set up.

I just watched the first episode of #Beforeigners, a Norwegian TV show that is one of the most ridiculous but also excellent concepts I've ever seen. TL;DR people from the past start randomly being teleported to the modern day and no one knows why or how. An ancient Norse shield maiden becomes the first "person of a trans-temporal background" to join the police force (very much as a poster child) and has to prove herself in the face of time-ism. Police show tropes and hijinx ensue.

#lucifer Kann man übrigens meiner Ansicht nach auch als religiöser Mensch sehen. Wenn man damit leben kann, dass dem christlichen Pantheon neben Gottvater und Gottsohn auch noch eine Gottmutter hinzugefügt wird.

#beforeigners Die 1. Staffel hat mich sehr begeistert, die 2. lässt etwas nach (kann aber auch nicht ignoriert werden, weil die 1. zu viele Fragen offen lässt).
