A couple recent projects. I'm working on a trio of frogs (pattern by Claire Garland) for me and two of my friends, so the first photo is the initial progress on one of those, and the other three photos are of the progress I've made on a Sunday Morning Baby Romper (pattern by SandraMagalhães).

Since no one I know irl follows me here I can share this finished hat before I give it to my dad this weekend. I used the Sigges Hat(adult version) pattern by Kultknit (f you've been following me for a bit, you might remember that I used her original pattern, Sigges Hat, for my toddler).

I met guage and knit with Sandnes Garn Peer Gynt in Smoke held together with DROPS Kidsilk in Sea Mist.

I tried out helical knitting to break up the mohair colourway I used and I wouldn't necessarily recommend that for this pattern because it made the decreases a bit confusing, but I'm really happy with the end result, so it was worth it for me.

I finished my first frog! It's not perfect, but I feel like I learned a lot, and I'm glad I started with a larger size for practice. My 4 year old had claimed it before I was finished and has named him Belly.

This was the pattern by Claire Garland. I used worsted weight yarn and US 6/4mm dpns.

Ok #knitters I am ready to tackle my first sock. I want to use two long corded needles- not DPNs or a magic loop or short cords. I have spent hours searching for a good tutorial. I can find bits and pieces, but not one that will babystep a blithering idiot from cast on to cast off. I don’t speak: “oh, do your favorite heel” or “insert a lifeline here” or pattern abbreviations about leaning mother stitches. Does anyone have a favorite reference video?
