I remember the way
the smiles returned
to the faces of people in need –
how the downtrodden tribes
of the most deprived
felt their misery recede –
and how love returned
to siblings of Earth
once rid of Tory greed.

I remember houses
and hospitals built
and heat return to the home –
I remember the singing
and dancing all night
and the rambler’s
freedom to roam –
I remember the neglected
soul’s delight
at the love now freely shown.
