When I think about a #solarpunk #future I am mindful of the path dependency that got us there. In particular, #genies which exist today that are unlikely to ever go back in their #bottles. Some things reach a threshold of popularity and/or importance that they become self-sustaining cultural #behemoths with very long half-lives. Long enough to still exist in the space year 2150 when we have finally achieved energy sustainability. Things like #Linux. I think Linux will still be a thing in 2150. What kind of thing though?
