Ok, that was a little bumpier than expected. I guess I should have believed the documentation when it said changes to .env.production could be overwritten at any time. Lesson learned.

In any case I have made the following post-upgrade changes:

:srp: Broken images fixed (including custom emojis)
:srp: Full text search back up
:srp: Character limit back to 1000
:srp: Toot button says "Toot!" again (as it should)

I think everything should be back to normal now, but if you notice anything weird, just let me know.

Server upgrade is complete! You should now see the edit button in the web interface. It looks like the upgrade reset the character limit back down to 500 so I will have to fix that. And I'll have to figure out how to make the boring "Publish" button say "Toot!" again. But for the time being everything should be working normally.

I will be upgrading Beige Party to Mastodon version 4.02 starting at 13:00 UTC. I should be able to run the upgrade while the site is still up but I'm going to take it down briefly to take a server snapshot before I start the upgrade process just in case something goes horribly wrong.

If you've noticed beige.party acting a little buggy recently it's due to me messing around in the background trying to move media over to S3 storage (aka the HotDog Matrix). I've decided to cool it with that for the time being until I hear back from my S3 provider, but it appears some media files may have fallen through the cracks. If you notice any broken images, rest assured that they are definitely somewhere. Just let me know and I will track them down and put them back in their proper place.
