What an odd play. After fielding a bunt single without a throw, Jonathan Villar tossed the ball back to the pitcher, who calls for time and tosses the ball away to get a new one. The home plate umpire raises both arms.

But, the runners on 1st/3rd quickly advance and the infield ump signal the ball is still live.

Manager José Molina went to talk calmly with the ump but the run scores. On field reporter is still confused.

Algodoneros de Unión Laguna beat Tecolotes de los Dos Laredos in six games to advance to the Serie del Rey (championship) against Pericos de Puebla.

I had never seen a game end on an attempted steal of home after the catcher threw the ball back to the pitcher. Cade Gotta was out by a mile so he just run hard into the catcher without sliding but they just bounced off each other.

Benches emptied but there was no fight. Game over. Series over.

Tras un mes de agosto extraordinario (21 partidos ganados en un mes natural, algo que no había logrado ni el mítico equipo de las 116 victorias en 2001) los #Mariners entran en septiembre empatados con los Astros en el liderazgo de la división oeste de la Liga Americana... y es cuando a mí me entra el canguelo.

Three lazy flyballs made quick work of the Toros in the top 8th. Nine strikeouts and one walk. A reliever warming up but he'll come out for the ninth.

Meanwhile, Algodoneros scored another run in the 7th and have a leadoff double in the 8th off Javy Guerra.

Come on Toros, don't make me feel like I'm watching the Padres.
