• 1 ounce #Campari
• 1 ounce sweet vermouth
• 2 ounces soda water
Garnish: Orange wedge or twist of lemon.
Pour Campari and sweet vermouth into #highball glass filled with ice and stir. Top with soda water.

The recipe for the Americano appears to have originated in 1861 at Gaspare Campari’s bar in Turin, Italy where it was referred to as the "Milano-Torino".

• 3/4 ounce lemon juice
Garnish: Cherry
Shake with ice. Strain into a cocktail glass.

This cult favorite first appeared in 1916, in "Recipes for Mixed Drinks", by Hugo Ensslin, head bartender at Times Square’s Hotel Wallick.

Birthdays are important days for most.

Don't call me rude if I almost never write wishes on the #facebook platform. I just feel it has less value when the wish is triggered by a software notification, leading to many normally-silent contacts writing usual phrases all at the same time.

This is how I came up with this original #aphorism about people being so quick to send #belated wishes on #fb (notice my #typography trick, here).

Crazy week, but first draft of a project proposal got submitted to the client and received positively, which is great and a relief!

The puppy is growing fast, and beginning to learn that while we rank above her in this household, it is in fact the cats which are the alpha.

It's been exactly 6 weeks since my dad passed away. Still a ton of grief, but I also feel very fortunate, and sadness in solidarity with everyone losing people these days. Hug your loved ones.
