We just got the 40 year old Mixmaster “fixed” at the Hawker Men’s Shed.
The shed “hosts a quarterly Repair Café and Made Local Market at the Hawker International Softball Centre.” They are there today until 1:30pm.

Bought an ebike to replace my common short car trips (2km to 7km each way). Building new habits and seeing the district afresh from the paths.

Fun part (in right weather) is the top-down motoring feeling.

What surprised me most is how much route learning and trial & error there is. Lots of options to get say cross-district but with varying degrees of path standard and connectability. Many paths would benefit from more clearing / sweeping. But 2 months in and it’s going quite alright.

For these short trips I reckon it costs me about 21c/km by car or 1.2c/km by ebike.

A friends son got their electric scooter stolen from #Belconnen library today.

It was their first major purchase from their first job.

They have several good albums, but of particular note is Mirror Reaper which is an 83 minute epic single song.

Christmas 2019, I had the brilliant idea to see a band a month at the local Metal bar (The Basement! In #Belconnen ) for the next year.

Luckily 2020 was completely uneventful and this plan worked out wonderfully (end sarcasm).

I saw TruckFighters in January, Cattle Decapitation in February, then in March I saw Jinjer… and then everything shut down.

I thought it was a pretty good concert, and the main singer Tatiana was a great stage presence. (The crowd was completely different to Cattle Decapitation tho)

Musically I don’t entirely gel with what Jinjer are doing, but I still like them, and listen to them occasionally.
