@UlrikEgede @pkoppenburg @LHCbPhysics Software developed within the collaborations often at least has advocates when publications move to collaboration wide internal reviews - at #Belle2 we are still not very consistent though...
In our #belle2 collaboration most people define custom variables within our software framework to be calculated "online" during processing on the batch system. In my analysis, the size of output files after online selection is not that large so I can afford record all the 4-vectors in my output data files (ntuples) and just do the calculation of several custom variables of my B→D*ℓν decay in a jupyter notebook (m_miss² , q² and helicity angles).
