Yesterday my GF brought Granny Smith apples home from the farmer’s market and made it known that pie baking was in my future. I had a bit of dough leftover so I made a “thing” out of the extra, then I was a little short of filling for the two small dishes. More room for ice cream I guess. They are dark because I use brown sugar, much to my mother’s horror.

A productive day. Cleaned up the leaves from the last black raspberry patch, fertilized them & the strawberries & blueberries. Tilled up two spots I plant zinnias. Scattered the zinnia seeds just before a light rain shower. Rudy the Poodle© saved his energy for our walk.

Yesterday was the day Rudy went to meet Nana's new dog Daisy, a four year old rescue. Daisy was nervous, shy, and curious all at the same time. We laid on the floor and let her make contact with us. Had some good time outside eventually. More time together is going to be needed for the five of us to be comfortable
