Old bell-pulls on a tenement, #Bruntsfield . Mostly supplanted by modern door intercoms, you still find some of these on Victorian tenements. Occasionally some still work! Friend had a flat with a working one, pull the knob, jangle-jangle of bells in her flat. Naturally I pulled it every time I went around!
