So I'm still grappling with Bell Witch's latest, The Clandestine Gate.

It's weird the mental crutches afforded by song titles and such. I possibly didn't appreciate them p;rior to dealing with this single 80 minute song.

Earlier 80 minute single-track-album 'Mirror Reaper' at least was structurally clear in that there were basically two halves.

I feel I'm gonna need to take some notes for this one.

It’s not a bad scene that I’m at. The creepy teacher was lingering in the bushes in the dark, the Witch giggled, and Andrew Jackson tore off the porch and found the teacher before old Jack Bell came out with his shotgun to sh**t him.
He doesn’t get to. Other crazy stuff happens.

Perhaps a band I’ve already highlighted previously, but a very special one.

They have several good albums, but of particular note is Mirror Reaper which is an 83 minute epic single song.

In 2018 I was lucky enough to see them perform a 60 minute version of it at The Basement in #Belconnen #Canberra

I’ve managed to correct a scene I wrote in, oh, September, maybe? I had a character leave & then proceeded to write it like he hadn’t left bc I’m a doofus.

In other news, I noticed Mr. Ballen on YouTube covered the Bell Witch yesterday & I know his is an entertainment channel (& I’m subscribed to him) but I have questions.
My current manuscript is about the Bell Witch 🧙‍♀️ He got most of it right, but one story I’d never even heard, & I’ve heard a lot.
