This is long overdue, but yesterday the #Atlanta city council banned drive-throughs and gas stations in the entire Beltline overlay. This is a very large area of the city of Atlanta, as it includes everything within a half mile of the 22-mile #Beltline loop. An ordinance which would remove minimum parking requirements has not yet been voted on.

Today on the #Atlanta #Beltline - a mystery! Why is there a random pile of dirt and rocks in the middle of the path 🤔

Well, as the second picture shows, it was because of a car catapulting itself from the I-20 offramp, destroying everything in its path, deconstructing itself along the way, and (presumably) not hurting/killing anyone on the Beltline in the process.

It is astonishing the amount of damage that cars do to our City's infrastructure - even the Beltline, apparently. 😫
