so for those using seeing AI's be my AI, I can take a pic and it works, but it does not save the pic, so what if I wanted to show someone that picture , I cannot. #BeMyAI #BeMyEyes #Indipendence

Yes, it really is describing the faces now. This is going to be great when we are on holiday. #BeMyAI
Here is how #BeMyAI described my keyboard. The picture shows a Yamaha electronic keyboard. On the left side, there is a speaker with a black grille. Below the speaker, there are white and black keys of the keyboard. On the right side above the keys, there is a control panel with various buttons and a small screen. The control panel is labeled with different sections such as "Music Database", "Song", "Style", and "Voice". There are also buttons for recording, playing, and other functions. The color scheme of the keyboard is mainly grey and white with some buttons in red, blue, and other colors. The Yamaha logo is prominently displayed in the middle of the control panel. On the control panel above the keys, starting from the left:
1. There is a section labeled "SONG" with a list of numbers and names, and "STYLE" with a similar list.
2. To the right of this, there are two round red buttons labeled "STANDBY/ON" and "DEMO".
3. Next to these, there is a section labeled "Music Database" with a list of numbers and genres.
4. Below the "Music Database" section, there are three buttons labeled "EASY", "TOUCH", and "HARMONY".
5. To the right, there is a Yamaha logo.
6. Below the Yamaha logo, there is a small screen.
7. To the right of the screen, there are three buttons labeled "SONG", "STYLE", and "VOICE".
8. Below these three buttons, there are six buttons with various functions such as "LESSON", "TAP/START", "METRONOME", and others.
9. To the far right, there is a section labeled "REGISTRATION MEMORY" with buttons labeled "MEMORY" and "BANK" with a blue and red button below them.
10. Below the "REGISTRATION MEMORY" section, there are three buttons in a vertical row. The top one is red and labeled "REC", the middle one is grey and labeled "PLAY/PAUSE", and the bottom one is grey and labeled "STOP".
11. To the left of these three buttons, there is another set of three buttons in a vertical row labeled "ACMP ON/OFF", "SYNC START", and "SYNC STOP".
I was wondering if others were digging into the privacy implications, but I couldn’t find any discussions online that weren’t just marveling at the technical capabilities of #BeMyAI. So ultimately I’ll defer to the actual users of the platform who get use out of #BeMyEyes as an #accessibility aid, and keep providing assistance wherever it’s warranted and desired. But I don’t know if I’ll ever truly get comfortable feeding AI training systems with human labor.
#bemyai #bemyeyes #accessibility
#BeMyEyes is adding AI-powered assistance with their new “#BeMyAI” service, and they’re updating the terms of service to give them access to support call recordings for training data. I’m very hesitant to do anything that assists AI-driven tools (I realize it’s becoming more and more difficult to actually avoid becoming training data), but I’ve been happy to do this volunteer work for many years now, and if it’s still providing a valuable service for #blind people, I suppose I’ll stick with it.
Here is a picture I just took with #BeMyAI in the Black Bull where I'm at the buskers night. I just simply pointed from where I'm sitting. The picture shows the interior of a cozy pub or bar. The walls are painted in a combination of green and red, and there are wooden accents throughout the space. There are several round tables with wooden tops and dark brown chairs around them. On the left side of the picture, there is a table with a glass of beer and a guitar leaning against it. On the right side, there are a few people sitting at the tables, engaged in conversation. There is also a piano against the wall on the right side. The ceiling is red and there are hanging lamps providing light. There is a door at the far end with an exit sign above it. The atmosphere seems relaxed and inviting.
I do think Be My AI is an innovation that should win some kind of award. I've been using it for a short time but I can already see that it seriously will enhance the independence of blind people. I don't use my phone nearly as much as others do, and I'm not that good at taking pictures. But that doesn't seem to matter. Even if you don't get it right, there's probably enough information in the photo for it to be able to identify what you are trying to focus on; especially helpful if you want to identify a household item. Generally though, it gives you lots of detail. For pictures you already have on the phone taken by someone else, it can give you detail you didn't previously appreciate. At the moment, I cannot see a way of you being able to save a picture. So let's say you've got this great picture it has described. It would be nice if you could keep it. #BeMyAI
Here is a description of my kitchen with #BeMyAI. Be My AI: The picture shows a modern kitchen. On the left side, there is a dishwasher built into the kitchen cabinets. Above the dishwasher, there is a wooden countertop with a white kettle, a blue cup, and a white mug on a tray. Above the countertop, there are cream-colored cabinets and a range hood.
On the right side, there is a stove with a black air fryer on top of it. Next to the stove, there is a gray tiled backsplash with two white sockets and switches. Above the stove, there are more cream-colored cabinets.
On top of the cabinets, there are a few items that are not clearly visible. The ceiling is white with a round air vent. The overall color scheme of the kitchen is neutral with cream cabinets and a wooden countertop. Your message: Can you identify the make of the air fryer? Be My AI: Yes, the make of the air fryer is "Tower". It is black in color and has a digital display on the front.
I don't really have anything for Be My AI to take a picture of, so I just took its description of one of @Swede1952's pictures and verified it against Swede's alt text. Swede is sighted, an experienced photographer and very good at writing alt text, so I feel he's a reliable source to check against.
Be My AI's description was very detailed and matched Swede's description almost perfectly. Although, I wouldn't call a bird fight 'beautiful' lol.
I'll attach the picture in this post for reference, with the Be My AI description in the alt text.

I finally got my access pass to #BeMyAI this morning! At 9:12 AM! Now I just need to find something to photograph lol.
#BeMyAI: this is a photo from my Facebook feed. Well, the description anyway. It's amazing that it actually tells us what is going on, as opposed to just a steel description. The picture shows a heartwarming scene of a man and a little girl fishing on a wooden dock. The man is wearing a striped shirt, shorts, and a hat, while the little girl is dressed in a white shirt, pink hat, and light pink pants. They are both focused on fishing, with the man slightly bent over and guiding the little girl who is holding a fishing rod. The background reveals a calm river with a few buoys floating, and a clear blue sky. There are trees and some buildings in the distance. It seems like a peaceful and sunny day, perfect for fishing.
Mmm my favourite chocolate!! #BeMyAI. The picture shows the front of a Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate bar wrapper. The wrapper is primarily purple with white and gold text. At the top, there is a small green logo that says "Cocoa Life". Next to it, there is text that says "180g", indicating the weight of the chocolate bar.
The brand name "Cadbury" is written in a large, gold font in the middle of the wrapper. Below it, in large white letters, it says "Dairy Milk".
There is an image of a piece of chocolate with the Cadbury logo imprinted on it, just below the "Dairy Milk" text.
At the bottom, in white text, it says "Milk Chocolate" and below that in smaller text, it says "Classic Dairy Milk Milk Chocolate".
The background of the wrapper has a pattern with the words "Dairy Milk" and images of milk jugs and cocoa beans.
Please let me know if you need more information or if there's something specific you're looking for.
So does anyone know if we can save the photo that we capture with #bemyAI? It only gives me the option to copy, but then when I copy it, it doesn't give me the option to paste it anywhere, like on Facebook etc. How can we keep the image, or save it to our camera roll? Does anyone know
#beMyAI wow so impressive! It describes my friend Lachlan on the swing, and even the phone in his pocket?? Just wow! Wow!
The picture shows an outdoor scene on a bright day with a clear blue sky. In the foreground, there is a person swinging on a swing set. The person is captured mid-air, leaning forward with their legs stretched back. They are wearing a dark jacket and jeans, and there is a phone in the back pocket of their jeans. The swing set has a metal frame with chains holding the swing seat. In the background, there is a lush green field with trees and a building. The sky is clear with some wispy clouds.
I am driving up to the country and this is a photo from #BeMyAI that I just took from inside the car while driving along. The picture shows a view from inside a car. The sky is filled with clouds, and it seems like a cloudy day. There are power lines visible in the upper part of the picture. At the bottom, there is a grassy area with some debris and a white road sign that is triangular in shape. In the background, there are some hills and a green sign, but the text on the sign is not clear. There is also a fence running along the road.
Just used the Be My AI to take a picture of the back of the bottle of some special cleaner. I asked, instructions? And it came back and told me just the instructions from the back of the bottle. A very helpful tool indeed! 😄 #BeMyAI #Helpful #Blind #BeMyEyes

Here’s a quick demo of the #BeMyEyes app in-action, as I get it’s new #BeMyAI feature to describe the look of my Yamaha mixing desk: https://youtube.com/shorts/_CzH8re8Xbg?si=iYsPTUvn5Zua6h0d
I love cheese, the Bhatia, the better! #BeMyAI Yes, on the other side of the package, there is more information. The brand is "Cracker Barrel" and it is mentioned that it was established in 1954. The packaging is dark brown with a picture of the cheese and a small dish with cheese and crackers. There is a logo similar to the one on the back with "20" and "Superior" written on it. The packaging also has a pinkish-red label that says "Extra Sharp" and mentions that it is "The Vintage Cheddar". There is also a strength indicator numbered 1 to 4, with this cheese being at 4, indicating it is likely very sharp. The packaging is slightly torn at the top, similar to the other side.
