My latest article for the local paper, which published this week, evaluates Black Butte Whiskey, the collaboration from #DeschutesBrewery and #Bendistillery. As a #beer tie-in, I also paired up the #whiskey with Black Butte Porter for a #boilermaker experience.

I posted about the return of #BlackButteWhiskey from #DeschutesBrewery and #Bendistillery, and now I’ve also got samples of this year’s releases—both the five-year whiskey and the special barrel cask strength edition.
My (loose) plan right now is to taste these whiskeys individually, then as a pairing with—you guessed it—Black Butte Porter.

#DeschutesBrewery and #Bendistillery of #BendOregon have again teamed up to release Black Butte #Whiskey, the American malt whiskey created from the wash of #BlackButtePorter. This year, in addition to the standard five-year whiskey, the duo is also releasing a special single barrel cask strength edition.
