Never remember hearing of Ben Dixon before either but I should know him because discogs has him listed on 2 other LPs:
Lou Donaldson: "Natural Soul" (1963) and
Baby Face Willette: "Face to Face" (1961). Grant Green is on those recordings too.
I've got the Donaldson but not the Baby Face LP.
He marks time well but doesn't do anything special. Will check out the Donaldson LP again to see how he plays there.
