I'm learning that there's a debate about the ugency of #AISafety" vs #AIEthics. #Harari and #Bengio are focused on "AI Safety" — restraining/controlling a #SuperIntelligent #AGI (general AI). It's more theoretical + philosophical. Others are focused on #AIEthics which is trying to avoid the harm that algorithms and #AI are causing now for disadvantaged people (runaway #capitalism, discrimination and #bias, #misinformation, environmental damage)
