Yesterday saw a significant solar CME hit earth. For aurora chasers, some of the measurement numbers being seen have been rarely seen before, seeing many people going out to take photos.

This is a photo taken from Bellerive beach on Hobart's eastern shore. With light pollution from suburbia, it's unusual to see such a vivid display.
