Each #evening I'm accustomed to feeling quite #bereft. No emotions remain after a day spent submerged in the milieu of my parents' social mixers and events designed to win someone's hand on my behalf.

He couldn't unpack for a month. When he did he found the cards his kids had made for him. It was then he decided he was going to defeat and Bury his devils.

The house had one thrummed with life—with churning Lego and baking cookies and violin practice—but now it was #bereft of all but the howls and accusatory scowls of ghosts. I had meant to turn the gun on myself, but they would not let me die.

Aimee sat curled up, her arms around her knees, & wept, utterly #bereft.
"You must eat," Velurri said.
She shook her head.
Against her will, her body got up, walked to the table, & began to eat. She tried to gag as her mouth chewed & swallowed the food, but she was a prisoner in her body.
When Velurri relaxed his control, she tried to jam her fingers down her throat to vomit. Using the familiar bond, he took control again. Her arms dropped nervelessly to her side.
