This last world cup showed #Lalas is no longer the comentator the US teams need or deserve, #Berhalter took the team as far as he could #USSoccer is kidding itself if they think he has more, clearly the current fiasco shows just how incestuous the top offices are with #Reyna, #Wynalda, #Stewart, and #McBride both in and out of #USSF causing so many problems

The domestic abuse allegation is disturbing. I think #Berhalter has addressed this.

With all the #USMNT drama playing out in an (inter?)national stage, I just keep coming back to how incredibly unfair and hurtful this is to Rosalind #Berhalter

To have your story told about you in such a public way, to have someone you trusted enough to share this trauma with out you so publically just to get at your husband is beyond me

And to have to tell this story to your kids in this manner? The callousness and pettiness of the situation is astounding

With all the statements that have come out it now seems really odd that US Soccer or Berhalter said anything. Is there a fourth or fifth party to all this?

I know a lot of people are saying this is a bad situation for everyone involved #usmnt #ussoccer BUT I think for US Soccer this is good in the long run. It’s like bringing a cyst to a head. Clear things out. Transparency. Make sure you do the right thing and have the right people in place going forward. #berhalter #reyna

I'm not trying to take sides as to who was *most* wrong, but there's a lot of pettiness here.

The reality is you're not going to move on from young talent like #Reyna, and there's no way he can work with #Berhalter anymore. Just more reason to go out and get a non-American coach. Get a clean slate and hopefully someone who doesn't have to kowtow to players' parents (are these pros or middle schoolers?).

It's astonishing to me that 20 days after #USMNT was knocked out of the #WorldCup there is still a question about whether #Berhalter will be back in the New Year!

Any other #football federation with a team like the one he had would have expected him to fall on his sword before he got to the airport!

Im not sure if Berhalter’s choice to out Reyna as a bad teammate after the #usmnt are out of the #worldcup . Is he deflecting blame for not playing him? He seems to want to emphasize that the players had issues with Gio and almost voted to send him home. Initial thoughts on contract extension and negotiations with GGG #usmnt is that what's being said is normal and nothing for the fans to worry about (getting the extension). Federation and fans in the end should give GGG high marks in general. It's possible that #berhalter did a good job and the team needs a new coach to take them next level. Let's not get negative just yet.

I saw someone post this list in reference to a potential #Berhalter replacement. Some interesting ideas I suppose, but mostly no-go's from me. My gut tells me they will stick with Berhalter and try to see what happens with Jesse Marsch in the EPL. #USMNT #MastodonFC

Great run by #usmnt in spite of #berhalter. Great young talent. Old US style coach. It should not of been so difficult to qualify. It should not of been so difficult to get out of group. The boys were gassed and tired against the Dutch. We left our best strikers off the team. Zimmerman was only decent #MLS player.
