Kuypers was off to a terrible start and returned from lap 1 in 33rd to fight his way back into the top10. As for Iserbyt, we will surely hear what issue he ran into, getting dropped from 2nd to 10th.

In the wake of Mathieu van der Poel, Iserbyt has launched an attack halway into the final lap at the men's #cyclocross Worldup finals in #Besançon. Nieuwenhuis and then Sweeck countered, and Iserbyt suffers some issues off the camera. That's it, he's out of contention for the podium.

The fight for 2nd and 3rd has escalated in the penultimate lap of the men's #cyclocross Worldup finals in #Besançon.
Kuhn and Nieuwenhuis upped the pace drastically, but Iserbyt and Sweeck are still there. The gap to race leader van der Poel has grown to one minute however.

The gap to the chasers paced by Nieuwenhuis has grown to 52secs now, so even at a measured pace van der Poel is going a lot faster than the chasers who are trying to save some power for the fight for the remaining podium positions.

In lap 6 (of a total of 9) in the men's #cyclocross Worldup finals in #Besançon and after 39mins of racing, Laurens Sweeck places an acceleration in a bid for 2d place. Naturally Eli Iserbyt tries hard to get back to him with Kuhn in tow.
Going into lap 7, the gap between the race leader and his first chasers has grown to 30secs, but that chase group has fragmented now.

With 12'000 tickets sold for the #cyclocross Worldup finals in #Besançon, it's a clear sign that cyclocross is popular as a spectator sport in France as well - and not only in the heart land of Belgium and the Netherlands.
Meanwhile race leader Mathieu van der Poel has finished another lap and extended his lead to 23secs. Still eight riders in pursuit, with Venturini, Nieuwenhuis, Iserbyt, Sweeck and some others.
