Reading over the old #BESM setting Centauri Knights.

I'm struck by how much the setting feels like "Avatar meets Horizon Zero Dawn," even though it predates both by many years.

#Homebrew #TTRPG #BESM I once created an anime homebrew campaign using BESM ( Big Eyes Small Mouth ) where the players were anthropomorphic animals piloting animal themed mecha ( but the mecha didn't match the PC's animal type, so a bird could by piloting a panda mecha ). The players were a kind of galactic police force and the big bad where anthropomorphic insects with insect mecha. Everything was exaggerated to the absurd, I loved it.

* Even before the pandemic we didn't go out much, preferring to cocoon at home and #RPG.
* Speaking of RPGs, I started with D&D in the late 70s, but once I found point-bases systems I have no desire to go back to class/level. Current campaigns include #DoctorWho, #BESM / #Anime5E, and an amalgam of #AssassinsCreed, #Paragons, and #Mage.
