Six years ago today, our dog Gator was riding with me as my co-pilot. Gator died too soon of cancer, and we miss him every day.

He showed up at our house as a stray, walked in and was immediately perfect. Well-adjusted, easy-going, happy ... his only issue was that he was terrified of riding in cars.

That got fixed with years of practice, as you can see.
