Still learning things about my late father from his childhood best friend (now age 99) from Bed-Stuy Brooklyn who calls me regularly. Today I found out my Dad skipped a grade in high school. We hosted a bestie from out of town at our place this weekend. Lots of laughs and snacks and great food and greater company. I was watching a show, one of the characters crawled into bed and hugged their friend, as a show of comfort & support. Friend cuddles & I missed him so much I teared up. They don't tell you how much those moments matter when you have them. Oooff.
