Sometimes I wonder if having a giant 8-big heart tattooed on my arm puts a target for hate.

Maybe.

But anytime I’m somewhere new, traveling, etc. I find so many people share their stories and the stories of their family with me. I get to hear stories of love and diversity. I get to hear how parents watch their children become their true selves.

It reminds me to always keep being my true self.
