I remember when I was writing my PhD in 10 chapters of 10,000 words, back in the day when MSWord didn't have automatic save. I was near the end of chap Four, 9,677 words in, and my computer crashed - all I could see was the blue screen of death. Of course, I was in the zone at the time and hadn't thought about saving as I went.

After inventing several new swear words, I ended up having to rewrite the whole thing. I have never gotten over the bleak feeling of utter loss and now save everything at a pathological level.

Our home is about to have done exterior work done, which required taking down the flag pole mounts we had attached to the garage - meaning no #Pride flags outside this year.

To properly mitigate that problem, I bought some smaller flags I can place on the window frames inside the house.
