What are some serious, but pretty mainstream, responses to the problem of finding a way for communities with different values to live together productively? Libertarian municipalism comes to mind (along with the related idea of Democratic Confederalism) .
Now that the Republican Party is openly discussing secession, I'd like to gather a list of alternative solutions to the stated problem of "we have different values".
(Note: I realize that the GOP is just making a power play, and is not interested in a society of equals)
