People really need to sell “Xanadu” on the #electriclightorchestra #soundtrack instead of #genekelly and #rollerskates. It definitively could have used a #anthropomorphic tree.

Some wretched directorial decisions with the visual effects of the time.

It desperately needs a #sledgehammer fight like the best #eighties #musicals.

This may not be any better than “Skateland USA”.

“Street of Fire” 1984 - #BFest

Because “The Warriors” needed some music numbers. It’s fun but the #lawless parallel world with #DianeLane is giving “Mad Dog Time” vibes. And I think I’ll still prefer T-Bird #davidpatrickkelly to Raven #willemdafoe.

“Space Camp” (1986) at #BFest

Never paid attention to this film even when I was attended #spacecamp #Huntsville 1992. It was on all the time so it became easy to tune out. I didn’t give a shit since there was no way that was going to happen in #alabama

I guess I should thank my folks for not making this a priority. The #film is definitely losing a star on my #letterboxd for a 12 year-old #joaquinphoenix being a very lockable #starwars geek. @70sgayspaceangel @kelvinhatle

This is basically Snow White filtered through a wuxia acid trip, and a lot of swiped soundtrack music. The original Battlestar Galactica theme got a big laugh. #bfest

Now it’s Thrilling Bloody Sword. Some Hong Kong insanity. A queen got impregnated by a meteor? Gave birth to a pulsating capsule which hatched into a baby, which was raised by seven wacky dwarves. We are maybe five minutes into the film. #bfest

I have seen this before, but all I remember is the bit where Dudikoff taunts Steve James with a bucket over his head #bfest
