I'm the one person who plays games in 5.1 surround sound and let me tell you, #BG3's in-game surround mix is as bad as its cinematic surround mix is good. :/

#bg3 shows my hit chance in % which feels a bit weird. I'd prefer to know how much I need to roll on d20 and why instead. Especially since it was like 95% and that seemed unlikely 😅

Tbh, I'd prefer that option instead of the measurement system one.

Out of the three, the beginning of BG1 is still my favourite. #BG3 reminds me of BG2's dungeon escape, which is a peculiar choice since it was probably the least-liked part of the game.

Also, the Mind Flayer ship is kind of hard to navigate. Something a bit more familiar might have been nicer.

Idk how much this is a Baldur's Gate - it doesn't seem to have anything to do with Bhaal. Not realtime with pause either.

#bg3 is the first game I’ve played that has the option to choose the system of measurement (metric/imperial).

...On retrouve Gandrel le tueur de monstres ghur dans les égouts, face à ses deux enfants transformés en vampire qui, manifestement, n'ont pas du tout atteint d'Underdark.

Les enfants ne vont pas très bien et crèvent de faim et Gandrel est un peu perdu devant la situation.

Apparently there is a bit of a disagreement about when act 1 ends.

Several people claim to have stayed in Act one until they're lvl 8(!) by doing stuff others say definitely takes place in act 2.
(Doing virtually every quest and fight in act 1 seems to land you at lvl 5 btw).

It seems the line in the sand is "does Act 2 starts after you click past the 'are you sure you want to move on with the story'" dialogue or does it start after you get the Steam Archivenent 'Act 2'"?

One great thing about Baldur's Gate 3 being so successful is a whole new group of people are discovering the old BG1 & BG2 games. Seeing new activity on the forums and subreddit. The thing is... these games use DnD 2e rules and the manual is usually packaged with the game downloads. Back in the day, manuals for games were meant to be read.

Baldur's Gate 3 hostiles make effective use of their abilities, Larian Studios developers staged some of the best annoying/difficult encounters for a player to overcome.

I'm impressed by the level of planning with encounters and balancing them enough that a skilled player could overcome it.

I almost got my teeth kicked in several times but found a rhythm to destroy an opponent's momentum.
