Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.

Psalms 107:1

Though life may seem like a rollercoaster of emotions, from hardship to joy, one thing is true in it all; God is good. This verse serves as a daily reminder to have gratefulness in all things He has given, despite our worldly emotions.

Circumstances in life may not be easy or good, but these hardships do not change God’s character.

Just like any daily reminder, it’s important to recognize that we need repentance. Every person is struggling with different things that we cannot outwardly see. Let’s set aside ourselves & declare who God is over our situations. Know that through the difficult seasons, the Lord is GOOD.

In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds & glorify your Father in heaven.

Matthew 5:16

This verse is a great reminder to continue to look past our selfish ways & instead, care for one another. He calls us to serve wherever we are placed, to be kind & to submit to His word in every situation. In this practice, let your light shine before others & set an example for who a believer truly is. It is here that others can genuinely see how God can mold His followers into kind, courageous, & selfless individuals.

He refreshes my soul. He guides me along great right paths for his name’s sake.

Psalms 23:3

In the dark times & in the midst of sadness, the Lord refreshes our soul & provides us strength. As believers, it is our job to maintain faithfulness in the Lord’s plan. In our servitude to the Lord, He allows things in our lives to happen, all for His glory & goodness. It is within trials that we truly know who God is & are aware of His divine faithfulness.

The righteous person may have many troubles, but the lord delivers him from them all;

Psalms 34:19

In this life of servitude, we are not promised comfort. However, being that we serve a gracious God, He provides comfort & peace regardless of our faithfulness. It is gratefulness in His plan for us that delivers us from bitterness & anger. The Lord has a purpose for each season &, amazingly, He makes everything beautiful in time!

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

James 1:5

Wisdom is not just the presence of knowledge, but the very way we choose to use our knowledge in our daily life. We fail to use wisdom in our decision making everyday, yet God has always been there to call upon for guidance. Unfortunately today, many people believe we do not need God to guide us & give us wisdom, but we will surely fall if we do not seek Him first.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving & his courts with praise; give thanks to him & praise his name.

Psalms 100:4

Our Father is always present & in control of our lives. When we understand His faithfulness & worthiness, it should be our joy to bless His name. We must understand the difference when we come to the Lord only when we need Him versus coming to Him in praise & surrendering all to Him daily. When we enter into the Lord’s presence, whether through worship or prayer, be mindful of His goodness & sovereignty & give your all to Him! It is our joy to bring glory to Him in all things!

I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.

Romans 8:18

While we all have experienced some sort of painful hardship in our lifetimes, turning to the Gospel is what can truly allow us to have peace in the trials. God tells us to come to Him with our burdens & bring to Him what we can no longer carry. This world is riddled with uncomfortable circumstances, painful hardship & brokenness, but the glory prepared for true believers is incomparable to present suffering. Ask for strength, forgiveness, & faith in present sufferings, but remember that this too shall pass & the Lord’s gifts are so abundant despite our fleeting pain.

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened for you.

Matthew 7:7

This verse is not Jesus telling us that everything we want will be given to us, but rather is a testament of our faith in prayer. When we act in faith rather than selfish intention, we may grow closer in a relationship with Him. Prayer is not about expectancy & selfish desires of the heart, but rather in pursuit of how we are meant to serve Him. God’s promise is bigger than anything we will experience in this life, so this is a reminder to surrender to Him.

But for the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.

2 Thessalonians 3:3

Although as believers we hear of God’s faithfulness often, we fail to recognize its significance. When we turn our focus on the Lord, we are met with His presence even in our darkest seasons. He is always with us through the joy, the depression & the deepest part of our lives. His undying love for us is unmatched & indescribable.

May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart by pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock & my Redeemer.

Psalms 19:14

In our daily practice, we must be aware that our words have meaning. The words that we speak should be pleasing to the Lord, & not of bitterness or evil intent. This verse should be a reminder today to check the words that we utter & repent for our failure to please the Lord with every sentence.

We hope you have a safe & happy holiday celebrating the true gift — our Lord Jesus! Let us take this day to remember Jesus’ birth, life, & true sacrifice. What an amazing God we serve!

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign; the virgin will conceive & give birth to a son, & we will call him Immanuel.

And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Colossians 3:17

Throughout our daily lives, it is so easy to forget that we are meant to be servants of God’s love. Because we live in a fallen world, we often fall into worldly sin. The process of denying the world & instead walk with Christ in every daily moment is difficult, but completely healing. Although being believers in Christ can be uncomfortable & hard, our servitude to Him is ultimately freeing & creates so much joy. Take time today to give thanks to the Lord & think of Him throughout the day, whether in the mundane or the busy lifestyle.
