@jeffcliff Those links don’t work for me. #PrivacyRedirect sent me to a #Bibliogram instance, but Bibliogram has been discontinued. So I had to disable bibliogram. IG just shoots blanks when visited directly, even after going the javascript allowance chase.

The main catch seems to be that Facebook/IG has blocked a LOT of VPN and cloud/server provider IPs. So if you want to scrape or browse content, you'll have to use a home or other personal connection. I have also gotten 503 limited on a home connection, it's ridiculous overall.

Other limit I think is the 12 last posts for a profile, but the workaround I have for that is following the "RSS feed" that my localhost/whatever Bibliogram generates. That way, my RSS client keeps a record of all previous posts, so I can review or regrab old ones past the 12 latest posts.

@heiseonline fast jede instance von #bibliogram wurde von meta geblockt ist kann es mir echt nicht vorstellen das die das durchziehen wollen. Ich finde es gut weil ich kann dann ein paar Leute endlich folgen die ich schon immer mal folgen wollte ^^ Und ich denke nicht das meta so viel schaden verursachen kann.

#bibliogram es lo que nitter a twitter. Un servicio para ver contenidos de esa red sin pasar por sus servidores.

The main #nitter instance has been a bit sad lately, either overheating itself, or being rate limited to oblivion. The good thing is it finally pushed me to spin up my own and while I was at it I also got a #ProxiTok and #bibliogram. I'll probably rarely use those two, but it's still nice to have them.

Okay, so #Nitter is great but I would love if anyone could point me to a good alternative frontend for #instagram now that #Bibliogram is dead. #Privacy

#instagram is simply aggravating if you don't have an account (which nobody in their sane mind does, amirite) but just want to LOOK AT THE DAMN PHOTO!

So I was using #bibliogram frontends, which I felt have become increasingly flaky.

Now I understand why: #bibliogram has been discontinued 😭. Sad, but quite understandable after going through the interesting writeup on https://bibliogram.art/.
I'm in awe how much bullshit motivated developers have to put up with.

There was a time #beforeTheMigration when people apologized for posting links to #youtube #instagram or #twitter. Some even did the effort of using #invidious, #bibliogram or #nitter

I do hope we'll get that 1M people who joined us recently to, not apologize, but also take a look at these alternatives as well. 🙏🏻

@jakery I've been surprised at how many tweeps say they're moving to #Instagram. I thought we were all using the bird app to avoid the #Facebook ecosystem. 🤔 (I use #Bibliogram to avoid FB.)

Quelqu'un sait-il si une instance est fonctionnel ? Ou si un projet alternatif faisant le même boulot existe ? Ou si quelqu'un a repris le projet sous un autre nom ?
Parce que pour le moment, je n'ai rien trouvé de fonctionnel....
