This was my commute to work today. I ride a 25-year-old acoustic bike, and I'm loving my progress.
I went from ~45 minutes to ~30 minutes (going *to* work), despite having a longer (safer) ride now than when I started. This is over the span of about 2 years of occasional commuting.
Plus, I hit 40 mph! It's really fun... though going back up the hill that I live on is slow work. 😁

My commute back from work was nice. Just a light drizzle and some fog. Groceries in the back.
For better or worse, I live on top of a hill. The winding road that goes up it is, thankfully, fairly quiet.

Knocking on hoods to make sure drivers see me crossing and kindly telling drivers at red lights to be careful b/c they almost side-swiped me. I love getting around LA by bike and train. I just wish it was safer.
