I don't want to tell you what to like or not like if it's just about style or what not, but please consider a different brand if you can. Depending on the model they are skimping on safety stuff to save a few dollars and it's going to hurt someone. Seriously, there should not be cheap cable actuated brakes on something that goes 28mph (among other issues). #bicycles

A customer brought this into the shop recently and I can't get over how good it looks. It's a steel Mxxxxxo frame in a style that Pegoretti calls Ciavete but I'm pretty sure it's what would happen if Willem de Kooning painted a bike. #bicycles

I just gave away my bike on Craigslist and the guy I gave it to who lives nearby just sent me a photo of their kid holding up a sign thanking me. It’s so cool to know how nice people can still be in this city.
I got this old Kent in the early 00s for $250 via greatusedbikes.com when I was still living in Williamsburg. It came all the way down from upstate I think.

Laundry Alternative – Petal Power
During many visits, I had opportunity to do some work with an intentional community focusing on sustainability, ecology and social justice. They grow organic produce that is distributed free to the poor and sold in the open market, all of which, is transported by bicycle.
Among many the other projects like Aquaponics and a compost water heater/shower, is the bicycle powered washing machine, pictured below. Sorry about the quality of the video screenshot.
