@nyquildotorg the best thing to do is stop using Zoom entirely. And, similarly, realise that every other corporate-run proprietary platform behaves the same way (or will eventually) - it's the nature of corporations. Luckily, there're great #LibreSoftware options you can buy (SaaS) for a similar or *lower* price than those corporate-owned services, or even host yourself. Some superb options include: #BigBlueButton, #JitsiMeet, and #NextCloudTalk.

Pour avoir testé plusieurs services de visio conférences, je n'en ai pas trouvé d'alternatives satisfaisantes (#bigbluebutton n'est pas au top sur smartphone et #jitsimeet pas au top quand on est trop nombreux). Je préfère pour l'instant Big Blue Button mais parfois plusieurs bug amènent quelques galères aux réunions... Ça dépend peut être si serveur ou c'est hébergé après tout... Si vous avez d'autres retours d'expériences, je suis preneur.

@tom_nolte - mein letzter Toot ging davon aus, dass ihr Discord für synchrone Kommunikation nutzt. Verwendet ihr das auch in Hinblick auf asynchrone Funktionen, z.B. die Messenger- / Chat-Funktion? Denn dann wäre #BigBlueButton oder Jitsi nicht das richtige für euch. In dem Fall müsstet ihr euch mal überlegen einen Channel in #Matrix aufzumachen. Auch das findet im Bildungsbereich, wenn man nicht gerade in #eduBW unterwegs ist, durchaus viel Anwendung.

Neben den spontanen Meetings könnt ihr dort auch einen permanenten Raum beantragen (https://www.senfcall.de/help#permanent-rooms). Da viele Bundesländer / Schulen das auch mit landeseigenen BBB-Servern verwenden wäre das auch im Anschluss für Schulen damit machbar. Alternativ einen datenschutzkonformen Betreiber eines Jitsi-Severs im Internet suchen. Da gibt es in Deutschland auch ein paar.
