I haven't read Oldest Living Confederate Widow Tells All by Alan Gurganus since it came out, but having just picked it up off the shelf I see it's 733 pages, and the type is pretty small.

Are there any books you are intimidated by? There are several that come to mind.
1. Infinite Jest by David Foster Wallace
2. The Books of Jacob by Olga Tozarczuk
3. ...And Ladies of the Club by Helen Hooven Santmeyer
4. The Executioner's Song by Norman Mailer

These 4 are all books I own physical copies of & that I think I want to read. But, gosh.

They are big.

Like literal door stops, especially 1, 3, & 4.

What to do after reading a 998 page book? I bought the UK edition of “Ducks, Newburyport” by Lucy Ellmann and read it when it came out.

I've stumbled across 14 episodes of a podcast talking about it. Of course it needs to be 14 episodes...

Listening makes me want to get back into the flow of this amazing book.
