For us as an atheist family, New Year's is the principal winter holiday. The rest of my country is on the Eastern Orthodox calendar for their church holidays, so they celebrate Christmas on 6/7 January. However, our house still celebrates the last week of the year as the arrival of a new edition of The Big Fat Quiz of the Year!
