It was in and around that time that (under the pressure of #bigretailers) that the UK brought in Sunday opening and the #dayofrest was gone for retail workers and in many ways for the rest of us too. It is, no doubt, more convenient if you run your life in the same “just in time” to match our slightly manic, never take a break, consumer economy. But I wonder if (like much else in the last 40 years) we surrendered too much too quickly for our own collective #health and #wellbeing?
