Heard this song recently while trying to branch out a bit in music I listen to. Been stuck in my head ever since.
The Ultimate #BigRockEnding * for #TuneTuesday
Pantera - Cemetery Gates

That guiter-vocals back-and-forth at the end... pure shivers.

* IMHO. YMMV. TLA.

I always love how these guys have that 80s rock vibe in a metal band. It makes me think of "big rock".

Just got home - been out all day & I don't have a mobile, so I've not seen what’s been going on.
Had a quick look at all the songs. Tues is becoming my favourite day of the week - & such a cool tag too Neil : )
Anyway, cos I haven't checked it all (long night ahead) I'm going a bit left-field to make sure I don't step on anyones toes.
So, while this track hasn't got a rock ending, it does end with a big climax.

Thank you everyone for sharing your #BigRockEnding songs for #TuneTuesday
You guys are fantastic, and thank you @satsuma for a super prompt
I'm surprised there wasn't more Foo Fighters as they are experts at big climaxes, so much so I have been struggling to decide what of their song to finish my posts with.

Possibly the saddest song on earth.
For me.
With an ending that sounds like heaven would open his gates.

"Open your eyes, Nicholas"
This week's #TuneTuesday theme is #BigRockEnding, songs that end with a big climax.
Conevntum was one of a wave of really great #progrock bands from 1970s #Québec (where prog was huge). "La ronde" (À l'affut d'un complot, 1977) is a fantastic mashup of chamber music and acoustic, instrumental prog that unexpectedly mutates into a trad dance tune near the end.

#TuneTuesday with the theme #BigRockEnding (Note: As always, all music genres are welcome, the use of rock is just to make it sound exciting!)

I have been lucky enough to see Sigur Rós in concert twice. They always play this song last, because nothing else could possibly follow it.
#TuneTuesday #BigRockEnding
Two for the price of one on this one, as you’ve got a hidden track situation. Luckily, both really qualify. The first ending with a scream lasting more than a minute, then the hidden track being structured a bit like a post rock song, slowly building from a very small and intimate sound to a thundering crescendo.

To me this can only be one song because it has an amazing rhythmic structure and is grooving at the same time.
KING'S X - We Were Born To Be Loved

also interesting to compare to the original album recording:

It's time for #TuneTuesday, with the theme of #BigRockEnding, which seems a bit premature given that the week is still young, but who am I to argue.
This is decidedly not a rock tune, but it does build up to a big crescendo, and it has excellent hurdygurdy all the way through.
Last Chance Bourrée - Blowzabella
It's #tunetuesday and @Kitty and @satsuma call for songs with a #bigrockending. This might be the only time I can recommend something from Metallica's St. Anger album: The ending of Frantic is just killer!

... and by the way one of the few songs I could play on highest difficulty in Guitar Hero. 😎
#BigRockEnding in #TuneTuesday - I will mention a recent one that I love, which is Bending Hectic by The Smile
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sBtJ9_zTqdE
The ending is so not like the start.
Today's #TuneTuesday is all about #BigRockEnding, but fortunately we've been told that it doesn't have to be a rock song. Which is a relief. I'm far too delicate for big rock sounds.
Here instead is a video I've posted before, but not for a couple of months. And I'll keep reposting because everyone needs to watch it. Yes, I know it's ten minutes long. I still insist. It's great. And it has a superbly dramatic, boisterous, clogdancetastic ending.
