Reubens brought Pee-Wee to television first in a 1981 special, "The Pee-Wee Herman Show" (which was revived on Broadway in 2011), and parlayed that into the cult classic Saturday morning series (1986) and its Christmas special, and the classic film (1985), followed by (1988). 1/4
