My thanks to #BigTreeTech for kindly providing me the new TMC2240 drivers so I could run tests and get the new temperature sensors exposed in #Fluidd! #klipper #3dprinting

This afternoon I shall be configuring my #Ender5Plus and running a test print now that the #BigTreeTech #SKR2 board is installed and wired up correctly.

I’ve at last found some time to troubleshoot the #BigTreeTech SKR 2 I installed into the #Creality #Ender5Plus at Christmas.

I removed all the cables and then reconnected them one at a time, turning the power on afterwards and waiting to see what happened.

Everything worked fine, until I got to the last thing to connect, the BLTouch module. As soon as the three-wire connector was plugged in, the board started shutting down again.

Today the heatsink for the #bigtreetech CB1 arrived. I think that's enough cooling to develop/test #Klipper or #Mainsail stuff.

My new mainsail development system (BTT Manta M5P + CB1). Now my BTT SKR 1.3 can finally be retired.

Seems like a 3D printer is mostly used for printing parts for itself....

I've had this printer since 2015. It's a Rigidbot and has been running its original control board up until last week when I bought a BigTreeTech Octopus control board. A lot of people had trouble with the original board, I put a fan on it a month or two after I got it and never had any trouble.

I thought it was time for a technology upgrade though. I like the idea of sensorless homing and using Klipper instead of Marlin, and this board can do all that and more. Its a little overkill for the Rigidbot, but I have a laser attachment and I want to tinker with the stepper drivers and etc etc, it never ends with a 3D printer.

A half a day of making new cables for it, another half a day of futzung with settings to make it approximately work, and now I'm printing a bracket to mount the board somewhere. I've got a new display as well to install, but one step at a time.

#3dprinting friends, looking for help. I replaced my #ender3 motherboard with a #bigtreetech mainboard. Auto-home works, as does auto-bed-level, but when I slice a model using #cura targeting the Ender3, the print slams out too far in both directions on the x-axis. What am I doing wrong here?

Of course, me being me, I’m also replacing the main board and display with more capable units from #BigTreeTech The display at least WILL require some modifications to the case so this will probably mean I need at least another day to do this - to be fair I may also need to relocate things as well…

So. I added the dual z kit, successfully configured my #BigTreeTech #SKR2 board, auto leveled it left and right but front and back needs a bit of work. Updating shortly. #3Dprinting

Not too often I need to, but adjusting wheels on my #3DPrinter is easier with my Jaguar mini adjustable wrench .

Adding a second Z axis lead screw to my #CrealityEnder3Pro as well as adding a #BigTreeTech #SKR2 controller board.

I've just been given a Creality Sonic Pad and wondered if any had yet hooked one up to an Ender 3 with the #BIGTREETECH motherboard?
